About us

The Football Integration Development Association provides a regular, competitive fixture of Australian Rules football for players with an intellectual disability. Its main aim is to provide access to football for anyone in Victoria with an intellectual disability.

Currently almost four hundred players are involved in the program. FIDA receives administrative support from the Victorian Amateur Football Association and has Deductible Gift Recipient status as a not-for-profit charity.

In 2010 teams from Broadmeadows, Bulleen/Templestowe, Chadstone, Cranbourne, Gippsland, Kananook, Mazenod (Waverley), Moonee Valley, North Ballarat, North Footscray, Ovens and Murray (Albury/Wodonga), Parkside (Alphington), Ringwood, Mambourin and Rupertswood (Sunbury) make up the main competition.

Inter-state matches are played against South Australia and a similar program is being planned for West Australia
